A quick question , can anyone check the reference 23 ( Vlad Ward used an Executioner with twin Gauss Rifles, two Large Lasers and four Medium Pulse Lasers ) as that seems just plain impossible if the omni mech rules were followed, it could mount all those weapons but it would have 0 armor and 0 tons of gauss ammo , so some clarification would be nice :) . --[[Special:Contributions/188.2.22.116|188.2.22.116]] 15:04, 17 June 2015 (PDT)


Blood Legacy, page 191 "He (Phelan) saw that each arm mounted a Gauss Rifle and each side of the torso was arrayed with one large laser and two medium lasers."
Blood Legacy, page 193 "It punched through the weakened armor on the Executioner's right breast, destroying the laser. The large dropped down to crush one of the pulse lasers."
Blood Legacy, page 193 "The pulse laser in the shattered right breast stitched a half-dozen streaming holes in the Lone Wolf's right leg."
Blood Legacy, Page 193 "The other two pulse lasers both melted a hole in Phelan's right flank. The Executioner's large laser lanced it's red beam through the left side of the Lone Wolf's chest as Phelan brought his machine under control and turned to face Vlad.

Following omni mech rules, the Executioner could have exactly 2 ER Large Lasers, 2 Med Pulse lasers, and 2 gauss rifles with 3 tons of ammo, giving it a BV2 score of 3271.

::The content was removed, I believe because Vlad (and Phelan) did not pilot the ''Executioner'' for a significant amount of time.  I do remember a post on the old BattleTech forums (long gone with several database wipes) where it was stated that the engine would have to be downgraded to make everything fit, and Vlad had the "pull" to order his technicians to modify the 'Mech so heavily.  This ''does'' violate the OmniMech rules, but remember, the rules were being fleshed out around the same time this novel was written. It may have been legal when it was written and then the rules changed. Has there been any consideration splitting the ''Executioner'' and ''Executioner-B'' OmniMechs into two separate pages with "Related OmniMechs" links? The two are similar, with the same chassis and jump jets, but different armor, tracking, coms, and '''dramatically''' different capabilities. -I "fixed" the categories by adding a "|Executioner (Gladiator)" syntax to each category link, similar to the solution for the [[Crossbow (BattleMech)]] and [[Crossbow (OmniMech)]] pages. I did not try "|{PAGENAME}", though I suspect it would work, too.
