*Thanks for the compliment. I have been workign on the designs for a while, 3025 was a real hard one. I had a big run on getting things done in the designs when I was out of work with a herniated disc for a couple of weeks, couldnt work at work so I had to do something. That and I have an interest in the technology of the game and its fiction as well. Maybe its not the easiest stuff for non-New Stellarians (New Starites, New Starians...?) to grasp right away, but the intent of the stories are clear. Hint: on the edit field, when you're done writing something and want to 'sign' it, click on the 2nd button on the right, which looks like a Q and some script. :I saw, and when it comes to the planetary files, almost nothing has been done by anyone. That means...you're setting the style. I looked over it and added a few links (years, names, planets & events (like treaties) are always good to link to, even if no articles yet exist for those items). I'd recommend taking out the preceeding years (like 2583) that you have in front of the paragraphs. They exist within the text, so don't really need to stand out. If you want to add links just add <nowiki>[[ ]]</nowiki> around the item you want linked. ==Drafting Your Kiwi Assets==
*Hey, JtT: I'd like to draft you as a lead on an on-going project. I've been working on the policies that wikipedia employs and adapting them for use here. As I anticipate the BTW community growing, we need a to have a framework established that allows for the resolutions of differences (which is a constant battle at wikipedia). We're not gonna be avoiding the problem, if we grow as big as I think we can. But, if we prepare a framework now, then it'll appear to be a lot smoother when they do poke up. So, even though I'm still working on the policies themselves, I'd like to share what I've got so-far. Can you please read through [[BattleTechWiki:Resolving disputes]]. I'd like you to play the part of first Advocate (there's a really cool userbar that comes with the position of Advocate!). I'm still working on the Advocacy article, but essentially you'd be brought in to help explain someone's position in a disagreement about an article. You wouldn't be necessarily taking sides, but helping someone who feels like he's not expressing himself well and could probably sway understanding if he had someone explain it for him. *Thought this was a bit funny, but maybe its something we need to address. [[User:Aiden Pryde|Aiden Pryde]] (no relation to our New Star brother) has been correcting mis-spellings he finds in various articles. In [[Clans]], he did fix some actual mis-spellings, but he Americanized some of your British English spellings. :This is a hard one to address. You may well find that someone else will come along and re-edit them to British spellings. I have MS Word set up to americanise the spelling but my typing generally lends itself to British standards. As BTW is an international community there's not much one can do about it. In fact, if people go Americanising some Britishisms, the poster may well become a little irked. 
:Maybe an American standard has to be imposed (where possible and remembered) on all "canon information" pages, but with regards to fiction it should just be left alone.

Its the 'getting irked' part that concerns me. Afterall, as you said, BTW is aimed at an international community; who's to say which English is proper. I think maybe this is where we really fall back on 'community consensus' and see where it goes. If you have no issue with Aiden Pryde's alterations, then the consenus (of two) is that corrections from British to American is acceptable. If you don't think he should, I urge you to address the issue on the talk page by putting out what you think the answer is, see if you get any responses, develop a plan based upon those responses (avoiding the voting urge) and then implement it for [[Clans]]. I'd then suggest seeking out the appropriate document policies here and referencing that consensus decision there (i.e., lending it the force of policy). If no one responds to call for discussion (after a reasonable amount of time), then you also have consensus. One last thing: you you do decide to take it up for discussion, be sure to invite Aiden Pryde on his talk page. ::::I'm really not concerned with my spelling being corrected from British to American english. As I said, I think for the canon references it probably should be Americanised anyway. That's how all the canon Fasa and FanPro stuff is written so the community at large should follow that as a pre-determined consensus. ==Inner Sphere Mechs are Done==
After working on this for around seven months I am proud to announce that all of the mainstream Inner Sphere 'Mechs that have a TRO entry are finished. I know as the game goes on this will be a continuing process but now we are oficially ahead of the curve on the Inner Sphere 'Mechs and Im sure the Clan 'Mechs wont take too long. The Solaris VII 'Mechs are a creature unto themselves and once I actually buy Map Pack Solaris VII I will start working on those as I have already scanned images for them. I would like to congratulate the whole team. Without everyone here we woudlnt have ever gotten this far.
