Langenstein, with the First Amphigean LAG, was based on New Samarkand as of 3145.[1] A cunning commander, Langenstein's cooperative training with the Twelfth New Samarkand Regulars who were also on this world, had quickly improved the Regulars maneuvering coordination.[2]
