History

The Red Stables were a lance-sized mercenary unit operating in the late Second and early Third Succession War period. In 2865 they were under contract to protect a spaceport and DuraPaq Solutions depot on the planet Dalcour.

On 7 October 2865, a pirate force raided the planet and while the pirates were defeated, Red Stables were reduced to half-strength. Their newest member, a young pilot named Zarek Hanlon, disobeyed orders and broke formation to protect a nearby city, and a second member of Red Stables was subsequently killed. The unit fired Hanlon immediately after the battle and DuraPaq permanently blacklisted him from contracting with the company or any of its subsidiaries.[1]
