The Golden Sail was a Scout-class JumpShip serving with the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns as of 3150.[1]

History[edit]

Amidst the April 3150 invasion of Emporia by rogue Draconis Combine forces, Major Anthea Hanover, commander of the Golden Sail, was contacted by Elijah Bolton, a DropShip captain who had escaped the system. An old friend of Hanover's, his call for help directed the Golden Sail and its accompanying DropShip Endeavor's Run to the troubled planet.[2] Using a pirate point, the Golden Sail arrived in the Emporia system on 17 April.[1][3] It carried no aerospace fighters and little equipment, having been on its way to rest and recuperation.[2]

The Golden Sail and Endeavor's Run provided some support for the local defenders in the final days of battle. The ships recovered the escape pods of a team of cadets, led by Nadine Roux, who had struck a Combine DropShip. They also took in two defectors, Fume Aoki and Sumiko Nakata, and assisted in evacuating planetary heir Mason Ritza.[4]
