In 3133 Jaranto, together with his closest aid and Tsukude Minister of Justice Raul Tate, were the subject to a political scandal following accusations of sexual assault by number of female palace staffers.
Jaranto however blamed his local political opponents, including Baron Daryl Scott-Haipei, for inventing the charges for political purposes. Despite the scandal and attempts to prosecute the Governor, he was successful in retaining his position.
