4th Succession War
Arboris
In the 4th Succession War the unit saw intensiv fighting during the denfence of Arboris. Before the start of war the unit make several successful raids ino Davion territory. With that past the AFFS hig command task 3 regiments to the invasion of the planet. The 33rd Avalon Hussars were supported by two mercanery regiments of the Blue Star Irregulars. The initial invasion cost the defending 1st McCarrons their aerospace unit. With the air superiority on their side the Davion fighters chased the retreating McCarron mechs. The Irregulars regiments began to assalt the mechs. After the brutal fight only 1 third of the defenders could retreat offworld. [1]

In the later stages of the war the Chancellor decided that an counterinvasion would take the AFFS by suprise and bring the ongoing operation to an hold. As part of an taskforce the surviving battalion from the 1st McCarrons were task to destroy an important depot of the AFFS. The capellan paid mercs chose to make a direct strike at their target. When the dropped where finished the CO were suprised by the presence of an Battalion of the 12th Vegan Rangers - Beta Regiment. Caught offguard for some time the McCarron unit retook initiative until the remaining 2 Rangers battlion arrived. Greatly outnumbered the McCarron Command retreat only with 2 companies when fog arrived. The survivors started an guerilla campaign. [2]
Andurien/Canopus Invasion

The fight for the planet continued over three years and cost the defenders same of its best units like the Prefectorate Guard (which was disbanded after their lose at the hands of the 4 andurien commands (1st + 3rd + 4th Defenders of Andurien + Tooth of Ymir) on world. The fight changed when the rebuilded McCarron's Brigade was unleashed against the agressors. The 5 regiments forced the Andurien offworld, but the 1st McCarrons sufferd some loses at this way. [3]

The planet was strucked by one of the liberation units which was loyal to Dame Humphress and destabilized the Goverment of the planet by gurilla warfare. The 4th Defenders of Andurien were relocated to that world for rest and refit, but they have'nt the time to rebuild. The 1st McCarron in support of the 2nd McCarrons invaded the planet. The Defenders weren't ready for defence measure. The Andurien could barely retreat under the sacrifice of some of their troops offworld. [5]

- 2nd Battalion have one heavy Clan OmniMech lance which is supported by 8 Inner Sphere omnis.
- The regiment is classified as medium to heavy weight.
Vader's Vampires (1 Wing/Veteran/Fanatical)
- Wing Commander: Kong-zhong-shao Lawrence Vader
- The wing prefers heavy fighters for the prefered surfarce strikes. The pilots are specialist to make precision strikes during night time.
Nightriders Armored Security Detail (2 Battalions/Regular/Reliable)
- Armor Commander: Zhong-shao Isaak Carington
- Recently expanded by the addition of a second battalion the seasoned 1st Battalion support the Mechforces by flanking manveuvers.
Nightriders Special Forces (1 Reinforced Battalion/Regular/Reliable)
- Infantry Commander: Sao-shao Steven Risner
- The battle armor platoon contains mainly capellan designs with a few kuritans brougth back after Operation Bulldog. The remaing troops are 6 lances of artillery with additional 1 company of regular troops for overall security.
