All academies follow the same curricula. The DME watch that every institution meets the standards. Every cated must a partizipate at the fundamental courses like navigation, survival  training and others to. The academic learning is also important. After 12 months of Basic Training the student start his specialty field training. A few academies are specialized in some form like naval or infantry because other provide all fields at once. Entry is only possible with the test result meet the requirement or the instructor give its o.k. Should a recruit fail a field he can select another one. Cadets with extraordinary results can take part in a program should a civil university/acadmy located nearby. Recruit how show leadership skills can visit for 12 months a Officer Cadidate School.

The rank subaltern is reserved for the graduates of Officer Candidates Schools. The assignment depends on the induvidual specialization. Recruits with combat specialty  take part in a training cadre for 12 months. Such cadrets are lead by  AFFS veterans. A few get assigment to regular army commands. Graduates from state sponsored facilites must serve 72 months and from private operated acadmmies 24 months.

Overview

The AFFS is regard as the best army in the Inner Sphere, because the military put the right soldier at the right place through continued testing and training. In contrast to every other army the AFFS prepares its soldier better for the battle then any other organization. Every major command participate every year at the anual combat simulations at their home planet. The units take also part in such simulation at a different world in a 2 year circle. The induvidual training is also held in high regards. A common soldier can hone its skills at the different Special Schools and the Department for Military Education (DME) provides for higher ranking officer special courses.
The DME is devided into 4 different sub branches. The CO's of combat units, the High Command together with members of the 4 branches set the standards for the training. [1]

Department for Military Education (DME)

Directorate of Noncommisioned Training

At the beginning is the Directorate of Noncommisioned Training. The Directoreate is responsible for the entire training of the noncommisioned personal in the regular army and march militia.[1] When schools outside of the AFFS want to be accridet by the Directoreate must follow the rules of the DME. Graduates from that scholl underwent additional training before getting a AFFS soldier.

Basic Military Training

80 percent of the anual new affs members are enlisted personal. Most of the new soliders are train at state sponsored facilities. The duration and complexity varied considerable. The recruit must pass a series of health and mental test to be accepted for regular army servie.

Specialty Schools

After the end of the basic training the new soldiers pass another screening where the AFFS looks after skills which can be developed at the Specialty School. Such a school can be found in every PDZ. With the graduation at the end of the course the soldiers change in to their final position. Many members of the AFFS are crosstrained to. Access to cross training have only soldiers after 4 years of service within the army.

Military Academies

Military Academies are considered as the best school for future leader. Such institution investe heavily in their students and only the richest or families with a lot of influence can secure entry in the acadmies. A common citizen can get also access through a state run academy in exchange for 6 - 8 years of service at the AFFS.
The AFFS take most of their recruits of a handful of primary academies because the secondary institutions are not held in such high regards as the primary once. Every academy has the capabilities for cross trainig or specialization.

The DME set the rules and requirement for all academies and has further exchange programs with other Inner Sphere acadmies, because the students can get a lot of expierence.
