==Description==
The '''''Goth''''' is an early Clan medium [[Omnifighter]] developed from the ''[[Gotha]]'' by [[Clan Cloud Cobra]]. The design was very effective and remained in service until the late 2900's when a new generation of higher-speed OmniFighters rendered it obsolete. In the early 3150s the [[Wolf Empire]] returned it to production to bolster their weak aerospace forces, which was easy for the Wolves as [[Allied Technologies]] was producing the ''Gotha'' at the time.

In Clan space the ''Goth'' was used extensively by the Cloud Cobras for anti-[[DropShip]] operations. The design was also very popular and served with nearly every Clan.<ref name=trocg50/>

==Weapons and Equipment==
The ''Goth'' is a solid fighter with reasonably high speed for its weight class, being able push its frame to a maximum of four Gs thrust with its 180-rated [[fusion engine]]. The hull is protected by 14.5 tons of [[standard armor]], giving it modest armor for a medium-weight fighter. The primary weakness of the design is heat management, as the ''Goth'' uses [[single heat sink]]s which can quickly be overwhelmed by the weapons, despite there being 15 heat sinks permanently mounted on the frame. Because of this nearly every configuration of the ''Goth'' adds more to combat its high heat generation.

The bulk of the Prime ''Goth''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s  configuration firepower comes from a pair of wing-mounted [[Artemis IV]]-guided [[LRM-15]] launchers, with [[small pulse laser]]s mounted coaxially. Supplementing the wing-mounted firepower is a [[large pulse laser]] and pair of [[ER medium laser]]s in the nose. Another pair of ER medium lasers are found mounted to the rear, guarding the fighter's vulnerable tail.
