History
As of ca. 3039, Captain Oliphant was a veteran MechWarrior, commanding the Fourth Heavy Assault Company (Oliphant's Elephants), Eighty-second Battalion, 71st Light Horse Regiment.[1] Nothing could reportedly dampen his spirit; he had decorated his 'Mech with a giant fool's cap with bells and painted an elongated grin on its "face". Despite his rebellious streak, his performance in the field was considered excellent.[1][2]

Oliphant was considered a notable Banshee pilot,[2] having inherited his 'Mech, "The Court Jester", from his mother.[2]
