I just wanted to drop you a note based on the edits you made to the [[Bad Dream]] mercenary unit. I noticed that you turned each instance of the planet [[Kendall]] into a wikilink - something that Frabby pointed out to me when I first started is that where a subject comes up several times in an article, the convention is to only turn the first instance of that subject into a wikilink. I bend that slightly myself - I'll often use a wikilink in the main text as well as a single instance in an infobox because of the way I think people read the articles. I thought I should mention it though, to save you spending time adding multiple iterations of the same link to articles. While I appreciate the content you're adding, I suggest putting it all into the [[Verthandi]] article. Except for a few isolated cases where a landmark/village/whatever on a planet is so important to BattleTech as to warrant its own article, general policy (although admittedly not an official one) on BTW is to describe known settlements, landmarks etc. in the respective world article and possibly install a redirect. Look at it this way: If I was a writer going to write something set on Verthandi, I would want all information on one page, not spread out over several small articles. If any other (canonical) source should ever have mentioned Major Fraser then he'd be fully canonical for that, but his BattleTechnology appearance would still remain apocryphal. (Much like the appearances of Hanse Davion, Max Liao et al in BattleTechnology.) As an example for a barely noteworthy person, there's one MechWarrior Anita Chu Lai from the Waco Rangers. She is mentioned by name in the canonical Snord's Irregulars sourcebook, but she's also apocryphally mentioned in the apocryphal computer game, MechWarrior I where she is a possible recruit for the Blazing Aces. I've got another BattleTechnology short story ready to post - "A Dagger's Death" - but I need some advice, about the Featured 'Mechs section. The story mentions a <b>lot</b> of different 'Mech types in passing - 16 or 17, all told, but the main action focuses only on three machines. :I haven't been consistent in that respect in my own articles about BT fiction, instead deciding on a case-by-case basis. Units that don't actually feature in a story could be marked by putting "(mentioned)" after their designation in the list. I've occasionally omitted them entirely in some cases, like where they weren't actually featured but only used for comparison (e.g. "heavy like an ''Atlas''"). And then there's the gut-feeling-level question of notability. If it seems somehow notable that a given 'Mech is mentioned even if it isn't actually featured in the story - for example because its mentioning is a continuity error, or the earliest mentioning of this 'Mech in fiction, or if it is an unusual, apocryphal or otherwise notable 'Mech - then the impetus to include it in the article is obviously a bit larger. ::A little bit... The thing with "A Dagger's Death" is that the narrator mentions trying to repair 'Mechs, or speaks of seeing enemy machines in the battle only once. The story itself centers on the three machines that beat the snot out of each other (Griffin, Marauder, Thunderbolt). All the other designs are there as window-dressing for the dueling trio. I came up with an idea on [[User talk:WarDog Mike#Feedback: Great House articles|WarDog Mike's user talk page]] to go through and proofread/reformat the most visited pages, because they should be at the top of our priorities (mostly because they're the first impression people get of Sarna), but some of them are pretty shabby. I know you guys (and myself included) like to float around proofreading whatever page you stumble upon instead of being told which ones to do, but I think that you, me and the other active proofreaders need to go through [[Special:PopularPages|this list]] and make sure that these pages are up to par on grammar, formatting, linkage, and all that jazz. I don't know what you are busy with project-wise or how much free time you have, but it's an idea. Hi Nuclear-Fridge,

I've seen that the Star League commands order is different from the rest. Units assigned in sub-level commands do appear also in the root (something that does not happen in other Military Commands Categories. Am I right if I consider this Category incorrectly done?

I also think there are categories missing that should help reorganize this a bit better? The level of sub commands can be huge, and I do not even know which is the best way to order them.

I'm still here, and still editing! I had an MRI scan of my insides, post-operation, back in November. I'm currently "in the clear", but my specialist notes that I'm a high-risk likelihood of recurrent cancer.

Yeah, it ''was'' renal cancer. After 11 hours on the operating table, 18 units of transfused blood and an induced coma, I came 'round with a scar across my middle the length of my forearm. When the surgeon tells you that it was the scariest thing he's ever had to do... OK, that stops you in your tracks.
