Jerome Parsons was an envoy for Lord Governor Aaron Sandoval of The Republic of the Sphere. He worked as a double agent, secretly serving an unnamed Paladin.[1]

History[edit]

As of 3133, Parsons was a pudgy, fat-bellied man with sharp green eyes and thinning blond hair.[2]

On 15 April 3133, Jerome arrived on Mirach to give some reports to the planetary governor, Sergio Ortega, and raise the possibility of an alliance. In addition to talking to the governor, he also went around and talked to Elora Rimonova, the Minister of Information for Mirach; Legate Calvilena Tortorelli; and Marta Kinsolving, CEO of All World Comm and head of the Mirach Business Association. Each person that he talked to, he hinted at what is going on within the fractured Republic and probed where everyone's loyalty lay. After a couple of weeks of touring the planet and talking to those that were deemed necessary to talk to, by 25 April, he was gone.[3]

Jerome returned on 7 May, in the midst of a short-lived military coup by Rimonova and Tortorelli. This time, he came back to the planet with an Atlas BattleMech and pilot in the cargo bay, soon delivered to Marta Kinsolving to help combat the coup and to reinforce her loyalty.[4][1]

After the coup had been squashed, Parsons revealed the truth to Sergio and his loyalists: that he was a double agent, secretly working for a Paladin of the Republic. He told them that Duke Sandoval was no longer loyal to the Republic, and he praised the loyalty of Sergio and those around him. As well, he agreed to a realignment of authority on Mirach, one with the rebellious Legate largely stripped of power.[1]
