Francesca defeated the Sixth Raven Regulars commanding officer Porter Rodriguez for her new post, and was the only Star Colonel in the Inner Sphere by the mid-thirty-second century to do it with a ProtoMech.

During the trial, she defeated Rodriguez and his Stinger IIC while piloting a Gorgon 3, but chose to pilot a Hippogriff once she was in command, citing the latter as a superior command unit.[1]
By 3145, she was still leading the Sixth.[1][2]
