[2411] The Terran Hedgemony claims the Federated Suns violates a joint-ownership agreement for Cartago

[2431] Tension began to increase rapidly between the Hedgemony and the Federated Suns due to a dispute over their joint ownership of Cartago. Eventually fighting broke out and the Hedgemony took sole control Cartago. Davion launched a massive counterattack on multiple worlds in attempt retake Cartago. The FS sent several Divisions, supported by a large fleet consisting Federated Suns-built Audacious-class Corvettes, Sunburst-class Destroyers and Triad-class Cruisers. These warships proved no match for the Cameron Navy. While the Audacious- class proved adequate against TH's Bonadventure-class Corvettes, it was badly outmatched by TH's Vigilant-class Corvettes. This resulted in the loss of several Audacious warships. As result, the FS Navy didn't deploy Audacious Corvettes against Hedgemony forces during Battle of Kentares in 2435, opting instead to use its larger, more modern ships

[2435-2449] BATTLE OF KENTARES-Terran Hedgemony Manatee-class DropShips, considered the first dedicated Mech Carrier, was first deployed from the Aegis-class Cruiser `THS Sparks', against the Federated Suns on Kentares. This battle is also where Captain Jane Hargreave, Captain of the `Sparks', invented the `Crazy Jane' maneuver. Cameron BattleMechs make their first showing against the 4th Avalon Hussars. Initially, the battle went against Davion troops with the new Mech technology proving its worth. As time went on, however, the delivery DropShips were found to be too lightly armed and armored, thus vulnerable to air/space attack. Federated Suns exploited this many times, shooting down several Manatee DSs.
