Nobody is quite sure where dune pups originated. They are confirmed exist on Buckminster but possibly elsewhere also.
The creature is not fully described beyond a cold, wet nose and wiry, sand-colored hair plastered against their skin like a thin sheet of armor. Context suggests a dune pup to be about the size of a dog.
