The origins of Ford's Falcon-Killers can be traced to the moment when the Northwind Highlanders were absorbed into the armed forces of The Republic of the Sphere. Some of the members of the unit decided to leave the Highlanders and returned to their mercenary roots. A group of them was formed around Master Sergeant William Eric Ford. Since then the unit has gotten a great deal of experience fighting against Clan Jade Falcon and has learned to correct for the targets' high rate of speed.[1]
