Gale Force Nine is a company that develops 3D terrain, maps, miniatures and games. It partned with WizKids to develop 3D terrain sets for the MechWarrior: Dark Age Collectable Miniatures Game:

The Gale Force 9 mercenary unit was added to the Dark Age game based around canonized versions of the company's staff.
