History[edit]
From at least 3025 to 3039, Captain Oliphant was a veteran MechWarrior, commanding the Fourth Heavy Assault Company (Oliphant's Elephants), Eighty-second Battalion of the Seventy-first Light Horse Regiment.[1][2]
Oliphant was considered to be a man with a bizarre sense of humor, for whom nothing could dampen his spirits. He had his 'Mech decorated with a giant fool's cap with bells and painted an elongated grin on its "face". Despite his rebellious streak, his performance in the field was considered excellent, though he was still often in trouble with his commanding officer Colonel William Erik Peterson.[1][3]
BattleMech[edit]
Oliphant was a noted Banshee pilot, having inherited his 'Mech, The Court Jester, from his mother.[3]
