==Personal History==
Haya Tetsuhara was the grandaughter of [[Kiyomasa Tetsuhara]] and grand-grandaughter of [[Minobu Tetsuhara]]. While her father renounced to be a soldier, becoming a businessman, and even trying to educate her that way, she decided to enlist at the Dragoons. She was determined to become a [[MechWarrior]]. So her grandfather Kiyomasa explained her Minobu's history, so she can knew the consequences a soldier life can have on her family. That impacted her, but didn't change her decision.<ref>''Redemption Rites'' p. 30</ref>
Her initial career is unknown, but she must have seen action against the [[Federated Suns]], as, in [[3151]], she was already a captain, leading Charlie Company of the [[Tarantulas]] battalion. After the [[Battle of Terra (3151)]], and the gathering of all Dragoons survivors, she attended to a gathering aboard the DropShip [[Chieftain]], where Colonel [[Henry Kincaid]] announced the beginning of a personal war of the Dragoons against the Clan Wolf.<ref>''Redemption Rites'' p. 29</ref>

The next attack of the Tarantulas, attempting to take weapons shipments on [[Campbeltown]], on 8 August, didn't go so well: the Wolves defenders proved to be too much armed and cunning, and the Dragoons had high casualties. The death of captain Norton and the incapacitacion of Major [[Eric Gamble]] put her at the command of the Tarantulas. She was advised to retreat, answering ''Retreat, hell! We just got here'', but ordered the Tarantulas to regroup near the landing zone. The 21 October, once on their secret base on [[Ilion]], Haya began immediately to create Zeta, using resources and personnel, mostly veterans, from the inactive regiments which went to Terra, the [[Wolfsbane]] and Tarantulas. Haya and his officers trained intensively their warriors, but hadn't too much time for that: on 30 November, Zeta lifted for their first contract: a conquest of three planets for the [[Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey]]. But the third and last planet, [[Trellisane]], where they landed the 17 February, wasn't so easy: the Wolf garrison, the newly created [[106th Wolf Garrison Cluster]] engaged on a hit-and-run attacks, avoiding an open fight, delaying Zeta's victory for weeks. Luckily, a civilian employee, [[Jefferson Adabayo]] tell her the location of the Wolves secret supply stockpiles. The destruction of several forced the 106 to leave the planet, conceding victory to Zeta toward the end of March. Zeta's return to Ilion was short, as Kincaid sent them to make a raid against [[Gienah]], the Wolves capital.<ref>''Redemption Rites'' p. 264</ref>
The 6 June 3152, Zeta landed on Gienah. Haya led her battalion on a slow advance, but crushing everything the Wolves throw them. The 11 of June, the fight had moved inside the planetary capital, Alliago City, and the Wolves defenders were finally crushed. Haya's attempt to capture or kill the Empire leader, [[Star Colonel] [[Othar]], failed. Her 'Mech was downed by an attack of Elementals, and Othaer killed lieutenant [[Kirby Cole]], but managed to escape.<ref>''Redemption Rites'' p. 325</ref>
