Major General Pilar Rodriguez-Vargas was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's 116th BattleMech Division from 2764.[1]

The senior Brigade commander of the 116th BattleMech Division, Rodriguez-Vargas was promoted to Division command in 2764, following the death by suicide of its former CO Mario LaPota. The suddenness of this increase in responsibilities, and well as the loss of her friend and mentor LaPota, resulted in Rodriguez-Vargas struggling to adjust to her new role.[1]
