Here's a bucket of references: The Tabiranth was also a popular critter in the MW1 era. You can find a passing reference to it in the FWL Sourcebook and probably MW1 RPG (where, IIRC, Jardine is also first mentioned), though I don't have MW1 handy - I just recall being fascinated with the giant riding cats when I was a kid.

The "tabby" gets a passing reference under Off-Road movement rates in MW3, pg188 ("More specialized mounts include the tabiranth - a feline native to the marik world of Jardine, prized as a hunting mount..."). The CBT:Companion has a detailed write-up of the Tabiranth on pg147-148, which is also cross-referenced by the new House Marik Handbook also addresses the Tabiranth (pg148), saying, "Additional FWL creatures may also be found in CBTComp...and the tabiranth of lost Jardine (pp. 147-148)."--Cray 04:30, 10 February 2009 (PST)
