Y coordinates
Hi Volt,
it's great that you have taken up the thankless task of fixing the system coordinates. That's one of the glaring problems on BTW that few people find the time to improve so your work on this is particularly welcome.
However, please don't triangulate if you can help it - that will produce inaccurate results. For most core systems, the correct coordinates are put down in the old housebooks on the last pages; unfortunately, the free PDF scans don't include that data. Personally, I only own the Kurita housebook in paper format. Next best source would be the IS Atlas, though it is only a meta-source. It should be right most of the time. Just don't cite it as a source.
If you absolutely need to triangulate a coordinate or otherwise guess the coordinates by reading them from a map, please indicate clearly in the coordinates section that the coordinates are an approximation and may be inaccurate. Frabby 08:52, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
