One of sixty-five Riga I-class frigates to be on active service in the navy of the Rim Worlds Republic as of April 2765,[1] the RWS Sagittarius was assigned to the Fourth Amaris Regulars division. The Fourth was assigned to garrison four worlds across a two-hundred-light-year range and was deployed further coreward than any other division of the Amaris Regulars. The Sagittarius was permanently assigned to the Fourth to augment the Fourth's fleet of transport JumpShips because of this wide patrol area; the Sagittarius had also been upgraded to incorporate a Lithium-Fusion Battery to increase the ship's ability to respond to crises.[2]
