MechWarrior John Jacobs was a MechWarrior, who served in the Northwind Highlanders' MacLeod's Regiment, as of 3057.[1]

Jacobs was a member of the Support Lance, First Company, First Battalion of MacLeod's Regiment as of 3057. In this role, Jacobs participated in the defense of Northwind, following the Northwind Highlanders declaring independence from the Federated Commonwealth.
On 20 October Jacobs joined an assault on the command post of the Third Royal Guards in Northwind's Peace Park, to foil a plot by the Davion unit to lure the soon to land on world Stirling's Fusiliers into an ambush using stolen Highlander codes, which was successful in both warning the Fusiliers about the situation and forcing the Guards to retreat.[1]

Jacobs was known to have piloted a WTH-2 Whitworth BattleMech.[1]
