Edward Schedrin was the first person to espouse the concept of neo-feudalism.[1]
Contents
History
He defined neo-feudalism as an attempt to balance the needs of massive working populations with those of their societies as a whole. He pointed that through economic incentives, people would be encouraged to remain in one place, at one profession, for their entire lives.
Legacy
His definition did not include an hereditary noble class, but over the years, as powerful families established political dynasties this was accepted as part of the concept. As a side effect of neo-feudalism, the system encourages the growth of enormous corporations, that by dint of this became political powers in their own.[1]
