Unit Description
The 1st Taurian Lancers is a Combine Arms Military force fielded by the Taurian Concordat. They were formed by the TDF as experimental tactical doctrine in placing equal amount of Tank and other armor vehicles with BattleMechs in each of its battalions.
History
Late Succession Wars
The Lancers notable actions was on the world of Bromhead in 3022, where they raided the Davion world. The battle turn for worse, when a company of the Lancer's 'Mech was lost to a minefield. The Tank force saved the Lancers from being routed by shoring up their battle lines while covering rest of the Lancer's retreat. The Tanks took out two Lances of BattleMechs trying to take advange of Lancer's situation.
The unit performance was considered successful, despite its out come. Prompting the creation of two further regiments. The battle also convinced high ranking Taurian officers to insisted increase number of tanks in other Taurian forces.[1]
