History
The Capellan Confederation unit is considered a newcomer comparied to other Succession War Era forces including its sister unit, 1st Ariana Fusiliers. The unit saw actions in fires of the 1st Succession War on Chesterton, where its was heavily damaged to its Fire Lances 'Mech Lances by Davion Aerospace fighters in 2812.[1]
The unit was devastated to while defending Tikonov, it was reduced the point it only existing on paper after series of raids between 2832-2833 by elements of the House Davion's Ceti Hussars.
The regiment for most of its time during the Succession Wars, had been spreadout to worlds of Tikonov and Algot. With it status being only rated as regulars, its JumpShip capacities were stripped for more elite frontline units.
The 2nd Ariana successfully defended against brutal raid against Tikonov in 2987. The unit rewarded for its hardy service with savage from Davion units it had slaughter. The force re-organized into mobile field force. Despite it be considered a defensive formation, the regiment has been send on raids into Capellan March to pave the way for future offensives into the region.
In the 4th Succession War the units 1st battalion was destroyed in the failed defense of Tikonov, the other two escaped but were destroyed later on Algot where they took part in Operation Riposte.
