History

Formed to destabilize the Inner Sphere, Bartlett's Boxers was a Republic of the Sphere covert unit guised as a mercenary unit.[1][2] Not all members were aware of the truth behind the unit; initial recruits were gathered behind The Wall,[3] but later recruits hired outside often knew the Boxers only as mercenaries.[2] It was possible for said recruits to learn about their Republic affiliation.[4]

In 3150, the Boxers were tasked with preventing the excavation of the remains of the SLDF 295th BattleMech Division on Buffalo Meadows, in order to stop the 'Mechs from being used against the Republic.[5] On Buffalo Meadows, they fought the mercenary unit La Grande Armée. Although the Boxers established a bridgehead successfully, their attack on the excavation ended in defeat. [6]
