Founder Awarded
These awards may only be granted by the Founder Nicjansma and may be nominated by Admins (though nominations are not required)
- Founder's Consistent Service Award: awarded to a member for tireless and ongoing efforts to improve BattleTechWiki

- Founder's Outstanding Member of the Year Award: awarded in January for the previous year's efforts

- Founder's Superior Editor of the Year Award: awarded in January for the previous year's efforts

- Founder's Exceptional Recruiter of the Year Award: awarded in January to the member who brought in the most productive new members in the previous year

Admin Awarded
- Superior Article Award: awarded for the creation of a superior article of appropriate length and information, with no need of editing or referencing (may be jointly awarded when article is a work of collaboration).

- Leadership Award: awarded to the Project Lead of a WikiProject recognized for vastly improving BattleTechWiki under his/her direction

- Good Conduct Award: awarded to a member who responded to a personal attack with dignity, aplomb and the intent to solve the problem

- Recruiter Award: awarded to a member who is credited with bringing in a new Editor (usually by the newer Editor), who makes at least 10 honest, improving edits to BTW.

- Image Import Award: awarded to a member who has demonstrated dedication to improving the visual aspects of BattleTechWiki

- Problem Solver Award: awarded when an Admin witnesses one Editor/Admin solve an editing issue for someone else through direct action

- Helping Hand Award: awarded when an Admin witnesses one Editor/Admin direct another to the correct answer (or guidance)

Editor Awarded
These awards are granted by any member to any other member, with no nomination process necessary. They should be awarded on the recipient's talk page, along with a statement (and possible link) as to why the award is being recived. The recipient may then copy it to his Awards Board (or the awarding editor may ask an Admin to do so). If the recipient has not yet had an Awards Board installed, the awarding Editor must request an Admin to do so (rather than install it on the recipient's page unrequested).

- Assistance Appreciated Award: when an Editor assists another Editor by solving an editing issue himself
- Direction Appreciated Award: when an Editor assists another Editor with solving an editing issue (via direction to the appropriate source)
- Casual Edit Award: awarded when ever an Editor witnesses another Editor making a minor correction to any random article
- Surreal Award: awarded by one Editor to another Editor with a flair for making things interesting (in a positive way)
- Good Humor Award: awarded to particularly light-spirited Editors
- All Purpose Award: when an Editor feels like someone else needs to be awarded a ribbon for any stated reason
- Random Act of Appreciation Award: when an Editor feels like someone else needs to be awarded a ribbon for nor reason at all
Automatic Awards
These awards are earned through time and effort and should be recognized as they occur. They may be awarded by other Editors (especially to bring attention to the Awards system), but individual Editors may choose to award themselves at the appropriate benchmarks.

- at 4,000 edits: additional gold diamond (for up to 2 diamonds)
- 5,000 edits: EditRibbon #2
- at 7,500 edits: gold coin
- 10,000 edits: EditRibbon#3
- at 15,000 edits: gold coin
- 20,000 edits: EditRibbon#4
- at 30,000 edits: gold coin
- Time In Service Award:

Precedence
Awards are displayed in the Awards Board posted by an Admin on a User Page (one of the few authorized reasons for modifying a User's page by another member). The order of precedence (vice chronological award order) will be followed in this board, as stated:

Devices
Except where otherwise stated, multiple receipts of awards are displayed with the appropriate devices:
- 1st award: ribbon (no attachments)
- 2nd award: 1 bronze oakleaf
- 3rd award: 2 bronze oakleaf
- 4th award: 3 bronze oakleaf
- 5th award: 1 silver oakleaf
- 6th award: 2 silver oakleaves
- 7th award: 3 silver oakleaves
- 8th award: 4 silver oakleaves
- 9th award: 1 silver coin
- 10th award: 1 gold coin
Additional receipts (beyond the 10th) of the same award lead the original '10th award' ribbon to be 'retired' to the Editor's Previously Awarded Board, with a new '1st award' ribbon taking its place on the Active Board.
Founder's device: Admin and Editor awards may be granted by the Founder, Nicjansma, as he sees fit. Due to their special nature, they are not recognized as additional awards and regular devices are not utilized. Instead, the ribbon with the Founder's device, the Gold Frame, is displayed separately. If multiple Founder's devices are received, they are displayed in the Previously Awarded Board. Founder's Devices take precedence over their immediate counterparts in the display. Awards not eligible for the Founder's device are:
