Overview[edit]
The typical Climbing/Rappelling Kit provides enough gear for an individual for scaling sheer surfaces. Each kit contains a hundred meter length of high-tensile strength cord along with a harness, ascenders/descenders, pitons, hand/foot spikes and other components. While most of the kit can be reused multiple times, some of the gear, including the pitons and spikes, must be replenished as they are worn down or left behind.[1]
