David Leer was a columnist for the New Avalon News Service (NANS) as of 3081.[1]

Leer published a column on 21 June 3081, for NANS, advocating that decisions around the rebuilding or abandonment of assets (up to entire worlds) damaged during the Word of Blake Jihad be determined using strict financial cost-benefit analysis.
This article was however initially mistakenly published under the name of David Lear, due to confusion over the similarity, and a correction had to later be published by NANS.[1]
