He first served Sir [[Peter Dresari]], and then [[Lieutenant]] [[Ian Dresari]] on [[Kentares IV]] and the planet's moon Columbia. Became quickly Ian's best friend. After Kentares was freed, he was awarded a position of command at a school for elite MechWarriors on Kentares, which was a symbol of the heroic deeds of Ian Dresari during the guerrilla battles in the Kentares system. Casey was known for often joking on the comm, which either disturbed or amused his lancemates.
