Description
Flak Armor is a form of personal protection designed to protect the wearer from small-arms fire. Its special cloth weave makes it lightweight and cheap and allows unrestricted movement, however flak armor is notoriously ineffective against high-powered ballistic rifles and lasers. Available in vest, jacket, pants and full suit formats, flak armor is typically used by people operating on "backwater" planets where there is little chance of encountering modern weaponry.[1]
