Gideon Braver Vandenburg (born 8. April 3006, died December 3051) was best known as the commander of the mercenary unit Blazing Aces which he created and commanded unto his death. As a mercenary commander he went under the abbreviated name Gideon Braver.
Heir to the Dukedom of Ander's moon. Family was killed and was temporarily disinherited on April 3024, under a conspiracy. Began his crusade to clear his name, find the Chalice, and regain Ander's moon. Founded the Blazing Aces on April 3024. Retrieved the missing Chalice of Herne and documents proving the conspiracy sometime before April 3029. Detailed in Mechwarrior. Reached official adulthood on April 3029 and was named Duke during an election by the ruling council. Resumed his mercenary career leading the Blazing Aces despite being Duke of Ander's Moon.
