Hermann Ritter is a German science fiction and fantasy author who contributed numerous articles and stories to several publications and series (including [[w:Perry Rhodan|Perry Rhodan). He co-authored one BattleTech novel, Früchte voll Bitterkeit (with Erik Schreiber).
He is the great-grandson of German author Hermann Ritter (1864-1925) and the son of German politician Karl Hermann Ritter (1931-2006). (There appear to be several other people of historical significance with the name Hermann Ritter.)
