History[edit]

Isadore Kelly was a fighter in Solaris VII's BBL for the Sun Runners Stables during the Dark Age.[1]

He had fought for the SHDL and had been seriously wounded during the Jihad.[1]

He did participate in the 3086 Championship.[1]

The Class Five match between Isadore Kelly and Neil Oldenwhite from the Star Rangers Stables was the first official match of the 3086 Championship, and arguably the best of the night's matches. The first few minutes had both men getting used to arena combat again. After that they began trading shots and soon, both were moving around the Deep like old times. After fifteen minutes a slug from Kelly's Victor shattered the Oldenwhite Atlas's leg. Oldenwhite landed face-down, and as he struggled to turn over, Kelly peppered him until the official stopped the match and awarded the win to Kelly.[1]

After the two weeks of fights, Isadore Kelly was the Class Five Division leader.[2]

For week five he was paired against Cathy Anderson. The fight was literally explosive. A Gauss slug from Anderson shattered the capacitors in Kelly's own Gauss rifle, causing the weapon to explode and knocking Kelly unconscious. He was taken to the hospital for observation.[3]

From week twelve to seventeenth, she got a five-match winning streak. That allowed Kelly to force his way into contention, passing both Peter Blane and Meg Shaw. This put him third, behind leader Thomas Colby and with Susan Belden three points behind.[4]

His match for week eighteen was against Kay Dolachenkov, and he needed to win to stay with the leaders. Kelly used the Deep's cover and his jump jets to stay away from Kay Dolachenkov's Longbow. For fifteen minutes, Kelly forced Dolachenkov into a game of hide-and-seek. After several exchanges, his Pontiac autocannon opened up the Longbow's right torso. After trying and failing to dump the LRM ammo in the exposed torso, Dolechankov signaled her surrender. Isadore Kelly kept his first position in Class Five.[4]

Two weeks to end the year, the Class Five Division standings were led by Thomas Colby with 46 points, followed by Susan Belden with 43 and Isadore Kelly third with 38 points.
