Miaplacidus Plague was apparently a flu-like illness, though more exotic or serious, presumably related to the world of Miaplacidus.
A notable possible sufferer was Phoenix Marik-Steiner, a Second Marik Militia MechWarrior and reputed fabulist, who claimed to be suffering from Miaplacidus Plague when to all appearances he had a bout of influenza.[1][2]
