Nathan Pierce was the commanding officer of the Fifth Regulan Hussars during Anton's Revolt.[1]

History[edit]

Colonel Pierce and the Fifth Regulan Hussars sided with Anton Marik during his 3014 revolt against Captain-General Janos Marik. Dispatched alongside the Second Ducal Guard to take the world of Marik, Pierce's Fifth Hussars made quick work of the mercenary defenders of Abadan and began preparing the world as a jumping-off point for the invasion of Marik. When the Stewart Dragoons' Home Guard raided Abadan from their posting on Marik, Pierce mistook the determined loyalists' raid for a full-scale counterattack. While Pierce had only lost two companies of 'Mechs to the Home Guard, his hastily-ordered retreat from Abadan cost the rebel cause all of the supplies it had been stockpiling for future use.[1]

After retreating to Holt, Pierce's Hussars were pursued by the Stewart Home Guard and the mercenary Head Hunters who handily defeated the Hussars' counter-attack and mauled Pierce's command company. The Fifth Hussars' four remaining companies fled to McKenna, where the Janos-loyal First and Second Regulan Hussars quickly ejected them from the world.[2] At the end of the Revolt, the remnants of the Fifth Hussars were finally forced to surrender on Fuentes by Smithson's Chinese Bandits. It is not recorded if Pierce survived the end of the conflict.[3]
