Oliver Howell was a trueborn member of Clan Smoke Jaguar which survived its annihilation.

History

Oliver won a Howell Bloodname and fought on Huntress during Operation SERPENT. He was one of his Clan survivors, but wasn't taken bondsmen. Joining his former commander, Russou Howell, aka the Jaguar, became part of a guerrilla group which fought against the Second Star League forces garrisoning Huntress, becoming one of Russou's most trusted lieutenants. As so, the 22 June 3060, he, along with other warrior, Jester, escorted Russou to a meeting inside the Jungle, with Paul Moon, bondsman of the Star League. He wanted to ensure his Clan's survival, but Paul and Russsou didn't reach a common point. Oliver, offended by Moon's hard words, wanted to kill him, but Russou didn't allow him to.

The 13 August, Oliver and Jester escorted Russou to another meeting with Moon and Baldur. Both wanted to make an Exodus with part of their Clan to Wayside V to preserve its essence, and needed Russou's help. Though Russou and his men didn't accept to join his Exodus, both groups agreed to cooperate.

The escape became a success, but Oliver didn't join Paul's group. The Clan Goliath Scorpion Watch had identified him as one of the Jaguar's trusted advisors, and Galactic Commander Rik Myers, obsessed with taking the Jaguars as isorla for his Clan, had him captured. Oliver was surprised in a bar, and three Scorpions beat him until he fell unconscious. He awakened the 10 May 3061 into a Goliath command post. Myers wanted to know the fleeing Jaguars' destination. He threatened to torture Howell with necrosia, but the Jaguar refused to say a single word, and defied Myers to torture him. Three days later, Oliver had died, but Myers had managed to extract him the information. However, his persecution ended in disaster, so Myers didn't benefit for his actions.
