Omsol Accord

The Omsol Accord was a treaty signed between the Federated Suns and the Taurian Concordat. The treaty was signed in 2511 to avert conflict over mining rights to the titanium-rich moon Fontana, located within the Malagrotta system. The treaty allowed both parties to mine the moon independently, and prohibited the deployment of either the AFFS or the TDF within the system.

The treaty was broken in 2573, when a fleet of 5 Taurian warships 'inadvertently' passed into the system on maneuvers . Davion-loyal miners sent out a distress summons by courier, and a Federated Suns fleet, waiting for an opening to attack the Taurians, moved in system. The Taurians lost 3 ships, and later apologized for the incident, but the Star League used the incident as justification to invade the Concord as part of the Reunification War.
