Description
A parafoil is a special type of equipment used by battle armor for unpowered flight. While similar to a parachute, a parafoil is narrower and can be steered via means of an added interface in the armor's helmet. It is deployed from a rear mount and can either be detached or reeled in for reuse after landing. The benefits of this silent and low-tech alternative to jump jets and packs when performing combat drops is that they allow not only for safer but more stealthy troop insertions.[1]
