History
The Potemkin was the first-of-class vessel of the Potemkin-class of cruiser, launched in 2611 after ten years of development and redefinition of the original requirements, and entered service with the Star League Defense Force black water navy as the SLS Potemkin. The first of 106 vessels in her class, the Potemkin's appearance when fully loaded with DropShips immediately earned her and the rest of the class the nckname "Corncob Cruiser."[1]
