Raul Bethune was the commanding officer of the First Kittery Training Battalion as of 3050.[2]

Kommandant Bethune, commanding the First Kittery Training Battalion, was stationed on Kittery in 3050.[2] By 3062, now-Major Bethune continued to command the First Training Battalion and remained on Kittery. Many outside of the battalion considered Bethune to be a political appointee due to his marriage to Field Marshal George Hasek's finance minister, although his students knew otherwise. A combat veteran from the First Federated Suns Armored Cavalry and a highly qualified educator, the tight ship he ran earned him the respect of his students.[1]
