Overview
The Recoilless Rifle (Light) is the smallest type of recoilless rifle, able to be carried and fired by a single soldier.[1] It works by launching a high-explosive rocket at the target while simultaneously ejecting high-velocity gas, known as backblast, out the rear end of the weapon. The backblast can be dangerous, but only extends out to a range of 2 meters for the light version. The recoilless rifle can fire a wide variety of alternative warheads, including anti-personnel, anti-vehicle, flash, gas, inferno, Narc, smoke and stun. However, because of its small size, the light recoilless rifle lacks the hitting power of its larger variants.
