History
As of 3057, the Bonaventure-class corvette Sheridan was an ancient and heavily modified ship serving as a training ship for Word of Blake space crews out of the Military Academy of Aphros in the Sol system under the command of Precentor Captain Teodore Kopulous.
Its weapons were powered-down lasers and "paintball" missiles, and its jump drive was removed to make room for two full crews of cadets during training flights. The removal of the jump drive to make room for other components arguably made the Sheridan a Monitor.
The Sheridan was destroyed on 7 December 3057 during Case White when Kopulous ordered the crew to abandon ship and then personally moved the essentially unarmed Sheridan to ram the flagship of the attacking forces.
