Several different archetypes can be found between the Solaris Denizens. Their actions, how they interact between them and with the real stars of the Solaris Games is what sets them apart.

Solaris Games Denizens

Gangsters

Gangster

The dark side elements behind life in every planet. Gangs, Mafia, Yakuza. They have a bit of everything. Fighting between them to control the dark side of the planet.[1]

Known Gangster Elements

Yakuza

Hotshot Pilot

There are dozens like him, Warriors that believe in nothing but their onw abilities and who came to Solaris VII to seek fortune in the Solaris Games. His skills are unquestioned, but on Solaris being "good" is usually not enough. Pride comes bofore the fall and pitfalls lurk around every corner.[2]

Mechbunny

Mechbunny

A sweet young thing that wear her makeup too thick and her clothes too tight. They are cute and cuddly teenybooper bubbling over with enthusiasm (and a slap in the face to any woman who wants to be taken seriosly. Decked out in hastly autographed momentos and the very latest arena gift shops, but still managing to look almost as attractive as they pretend. They are basically harmless and live to bask in the glow of fame.[3]

Similar male characters can be included in this category, usually following the hottest Mechwarrior of the moment.

Sycophant

Sycophant

Unshaven, unkempt and disheveled and with pale features all mixed in a wide-eyed adoration. The true "fans" of the Games, and two steps more. He covers his jackets with buttons and pins bearing the symbols, trademarks and logos of hundreds of stables, cooperatives and arenas plus various sayings and witticisms associated with the games. They have no life of their own, living only to religiously follow the games and the exploits of their favorite 'Mechwarriors.[4]

Wannabe

Wannabe

Under the assumption that if you dress like a MechWarrior and you talk like a Mechwarrior, you are a Mechwarrior, they life like that. This makes the wannabe to be everything a real pilot learns to avoid in his first week of training. They look good, but you can still see the price tags on some of their gear. They might actually have some talent, but no experience other than the thousands of hours they have logged on the stripped-down simulators at the arcade.[5]
