Overview
The Nova Laser Pistol is an "energy-hog" of a laser pistol produced by the Sunbeam Corporation. Designed specifically to combat Clan Elementals, it fires the widest laser beam of any pistol on the market, allowing the Nova to damage a much greater surface area of the target. While able to kill or incapacitate a man in a single shot, the diffused beam has a much shorter range and poorer armor penetration. It also makes the Nova incredibly energy inefficient and, able to only connect to one power pack at a time, has led some to call it a "two-shot wonder." Still the weapon became quite popular in the Chaos March following it's introduction.[1][2]
