History[edit]
Tachikaze was a Nekohono'o-class DropShip serving with the Draconis Combine's Seventh Ghost Regiment as of 3150. As such, it was part of the invasion force that struck Emporia, arriving in-system with the JumpShip Amagi on 3 April 3150 and pretending to be a Mule-class merchant vessel on approach.[1] Its role was to remain in orbit to counter defenders and provide orbital support as needed.[2]
