There's a lot of fluff on heat sinks now: the CBT:Companion and TechManual both address them in detail and applied some common sense to them. (Heat sinks can't be passive radiators like a computer heat sink or any mech would quickly overheat in a desert by sucking in external heat.) --Cray.

Well, just trying to help out, so here it is. Probably could use references, but I don't think there's much FASA-fluff on heat sinks. However, I did try to base the article around the logical conclusions one could make as to why heat-sinks are in 'Mechs and where they came from.
