About Me

I got into Battletech back in elementary school (late 90's). I've played the game on and off ever since, played all of the mechwarrior games, and read a fair amount of the fiction.

I lost interest in the game around the time the Dark Age tabletop game started picking up, but I play the game more than ever now that I've discovered MegaMek.

I use this site a lot for the campaigns and games that I run and participate in, and as such I would like to give back to the site as best I can. I don't own much in the way of source books, but I think I can still contribute, even if in a small way.

Current Projects

• Edit typos throughout the site as I browse.

• Expand planetary and unit information as the sources available to me permit.

• Expand, improve, and clean up categories for each page.

• • Classify Battlemechs into the various categories described in the Introductory Rulebook.

That said.....

with the exception of the few mechs mentioned in the basic rulebook, most mechs are not officially categorized (at least to my knowledge). As such, there is plenty of room for debate as quite a few mechs straddle the line between one category and another or don't really fit any category at all. If you think I'm flat out wrong or disagree with me on any of the categories I place a mech in let me know, and I would love to argue with you about it amicably until we are both blue in the face.

If they are officially categorized somewhere that I don't have access to, then...well. I'll just feel silly.

I do believe however, that doing so will improve a user's ability to browse mech pages, by grouping them with similar machines.
